Philippines, is a country of bountiful feast of resources, trade and even in the field of tourism. More often than not, we are one of those countries who export products to different parts of the world, because of the region we are positioned, tropical, perhaps. This may be the reason why foreign in the business realm are seeing a huge heap of investment in us.
Another trait which is an asset to any Filipino is our hospitality and warmth, which is an essential ingredient into cooking a business meal. Nonetheless, it never ends there, we Filipinos are also recognized through our distinctive skills; skills that compel foreigners to employ Filipinos in the area of health care, engineering, maritime, and even in housekeeping errands. From which, foreign exchange is having its breakthrough in the economy. It’s like the Philippines is a portal towards a business realm of progress to other investors and business enthusiast.
As of today, analysts nonetheless highlighted the peso’s strength, as the Philippines continued to draw foreign investments after notching credit rating upgrades last month. They also noted heavy peso buying among foreign investors who wanted to participate in an ongoing bond exchange. Peso is now getting stronger, that its about 1$ = Php40.50. Supposedly, this news may be a breath of fresh air , for this would mean a decrement in prices of our products, yet many have attested that a change in the foreign exchange does not change anything. Actually, oil prices, groceries and other necessary commodities are increasing while salary increase is still pending.
Though peso is on boost, it does not directly change the situation of the many for we are still burdened and are still drowning from crisis. How shall we deal with this? How shall we act as a citizen, as an employee? This sometimes makes the mass think that the private and public companies in the country think only of nothing but beneficial to them and not thinking about beneficial of the many. Well, we can’t blame them, yet complaining instead does not change our situations. Actually, we are good at that; we start to complain even before we start to take a step. As of now, the only survival measure we can do is to work harder, and change our perspectives of all the chaos, for when we can’t change something, maybe we can change the way we think of it.
